Effective Date: March 30, 2026 | Last Updated: April 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Goodmore Safety Group and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, "Goodmore," "we," "us," or "our") collect, use, disclose, and protect the personal information of employees, contractors, and authorized users ("Users" or "you") who access the Goodmore Safety Field Crew Management Application ("the Application") on iOS, Android, and web platforms, including the public storm-callout signup form available at https://goodmore-safety-app.web.app/storm-signup.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Full legal name, employee ID, email address, and telephone number
- Position, role, crew assignment, certifications, and company affiliation
- Job brief entries, task notes, safety observations, and feedback submissions
- Photographs captured via camera or selected from device gallery
- In-app messages sent and received through the Application's internal messaging system
- Emergency contact information
- Glove/sleeve sizing and equipment preferences
- Storm-callout signup information (phone number, name, classification, license, PPE sizes, and any custom fields the contractor requests on the public signup form)
Information collected automatically:
- GPS/precise location data (only when explicitly enabled by the user)
- Device type, operating system, and application version
- Usage patterns, session duration, and feature interaction analytics
- Network connectivity status and synchronization timestamps
- Crash reports and diagnostic logs (device model, OS version, stack traces, timestamps)
- Push notification tokens for delivery of alerts and assignments
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used for:
- Crew and job management, scheduling, and coordination
- Safety compliance, OSHA documentation, and hazard reporting
- Fleet tracking, equipment management, and rubber goods inventory
- Employee roster administration and certification tracking
- Location tracking (when enabled) for crew coordination and safety
- Push notifications for job assignments, weather alerts, and emergencies
- SMS text messaging for storm-callout dispatch (see Section 7)
- Operational reporting, analytics, and performance dashboards
- Internal messaging between authorized employees within your organization
- Offline data caching for continued access without connectivity
- AI-assisted job ticket scanning and data extraction (see Section 12)
3. Location Data and GPS Tracking
Location data is collected only when you have explicitly enabled location services through both your device settings and the Application's GPS Tracking preference toggle.
When active, your precise location is visible to your assigned crew coordinator, direct supervisor, and district manager during active job shifts. Location data is used solely for field crew coordination, job site verification, and emergency response purposes.
Emergency SOS: When you activate the Emergency SOS feature, your GPS location is shared with supervisors and designated emergency contacts regardless of your general GPS tracking preference. This is a safety-critical feature intended to protect your wellbeing. SOS location data is stored as an alert record in the company's emergency log.
Location data is not used for performance evaluation or disciplinary proceedings unless required by law.
4. Camera and Photos
The Application requests camera access solely for the purpose of capturing job site photographs for job briefs, safety documentation, and equipment inspections. Photos may also be selected from your device gallery.
Photographs are stored in your company's secure cloud storage and associated with the relevant job brief record. Camera data is never accessed in the background or used for any purpose other than job documentation.
5. Biometric Authentication
The Application offers optional biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition) as a convenience feature for unlocking the app.
Biometric data is processed and stored exclusively on your device using your operating system's secure enclave (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). Goodmore Safety Group never receives, transmits, or stores your biometric data on any server. You may disable biometric authentication at any time via Settings.
6. Push Notifications
The Application uses push notification services (Apple Push Notification Service for iOS, Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android) to deliver job assignments, weather alerts, crew updates, and emergency notifications.
A device-specific push token is generated and stored to route notifications to your device. The push token does not contain personal information. Notification preferences can be managed in the Application's Settings screen.
7. SMS Text Messaging Program (Storm Callouts)
Goodmore Safety Group operates an SMS text-messaging program on behalf of utility contractors that subscribe to our Storm Calls feature. The program is used exclusively to notify pre-registered field workers about storm-related dispatch and safety information.
How phone numbers are collected:
- Public web form opt-in: Field workers add their phone number to a contractor's storm-callout list by completing the public signup form at https://goodmore-safety-app.web.app/storm-signup. The form requires the user to check an explicit consent checkbox before submitting.
- Direct contractor invitation: Contractors may import existing employee phone numbers into the program after obtaining the employee's consent in writing or verbally, in accordance with applicable law.
What we send:
- Storm callout notifications (storm location, mobilization time, foreman contact info)
- Onboarding signup links from the contractor
- Reply confirmations and instructions
- Opt-out and help responses (STOP / HELP keyword replies)
Message frequency: Frequency varies based on storm activity and the contractor's dispatch needs. A typical month with no storms produces zero messages. An active storm event may produce 1–10 messages per recipient.
Carrier rates: Standard message and data rates may apply. Goodmore does not charge subscribers for messages, but your wireless carrier may. Contact your carrier for details.
HELP keyword: Reply HELP to any storm callout message at any time to receive a help response with our support email and opt-out instructions.
STOP keyword: Reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT) to any storm callout message at any time to be permanently removed from the contractor's storm list. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. To re-subscribe, reply START.
Phone numbers collected for the SMS program are used solely to deliver the messages described above. Goodmore Safety Group does not sell, rent, lease, share, or otherwise transfer phone numbers or SMS opt-in data to any third party for marketing, advertising, or any unrelated purpose. We share phone numbers only with our SMS messaging provider (Twilio Inc.) for the sole purpose of delivering the messages described in this Section, and with the contractor that operates the storm list you opted into.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase, employment, or service. You may opt out at any time without penalty.
8. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Goodmore Safety Group does not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
We may share your information with:
- Within your organization: Authorized personnel (supervisors, crew coordinators, HR) based on role-based access controls
- Google Firebase (Google LLC): Cloud infrastructure, authentication, database storage, crash reporting, and analytics. Firebase processes data under Google's Data Processing Terms

- As required by law, court order, or legal process
- During safety emergencies via the SOS feature to designated responders
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with prior notice)
Note on SMS opt-in data: SMS opt-in data and phone numbers collected through the storm-callout signup form are never shared with affiliates or third parties for marketing purposes, and are never included in any list, database, or audience that is sold or transferred outside of Goodmore and the contractor that operates the storm list.

10. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
- Role-based access controls limiting data visibility by job function
- Firebase Authentication with persistent secure sessions
- Device-native encryption for offline cached data
- Optional biometric authentication for app access
- Device seat tracking and session management per company
While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Offline Data and Local Storage
The Application stores job data locally for offline use via Firebase persistent local cache and device file storage. Locally cached data is encrypted by your device's operating system. Data is automatically synchronized when connectivity is restored.
You are responsible for maintaining the physical security of your device. If your device is lost or stolen, contact your supervisor immediately so your account can be secured.
12. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing
The Application uses AI-powered features for:
- Job ticket scanning: Photographs of handwritten or printed job tickets are processed using AI vision models to extract text and structured data. This processing occurs via third-party AI inference services (Groq, Inc.).
- Data extraction: Scanned data is used solely to pre-populate job brief fields for your review and correction.
AI-processed data is not used to train third-party AI models. Extracted data is presented for your review before being saved — no automated decisions are made without human confirmation.
13. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Delete your account and associated personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt out of GPS tracking at any time via Settings
- Opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP to any message (see Section 7)
- Manage notification preferences within the Application
- Disable biometric authentication via Settings
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing
Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account by contacting your supervisor or HR department, or by using the Application's Contact Support feature in Settings. Upon verified request, we will delete your personal profile data within 30 days. Job safety records subject to OSHA retention requirements will be retained in de-identified form.
We respond to all verified rights requests within 30 days.
14. Children's Privacy
The Application is intended for use by authorized employees and contractors who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will promptly delete it.
15. International Data Transfers
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the United States. If you access the Application from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Application's notification system and updated on this page. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
